KARMA

Media shown: New York Times full-page advertisement, New Yorker and Time Out Advertisements, online advertisements, programmatic brochure, calendar cover and editorial spreads, home page feature

The Rubin Museum's conversation series Karma: Cause, Effect, and Illusion of Fate examined the repercussions of our actions, with a focus on mankind’s effect on the climate. Personalities from many walks of life shared their views on global warming as well as other implications of karma and fate. When the series began we had little information about confirmed speakers and specific topics, so I developed a flexible graphic conceit that could adapt to include images of speakers as they became available, objects from the museum's collection, and evocative images representing the topics to be addressed. In addition to the media shown, I applied the graphic concept to social media outreach and additional advertising.
